Cleaning Artificial Wreaths and Garlands

For many people, they put artificial wreaths and garlands outdoors to highlight the exterior of their homes. And this is fine to do as long as you are sure that these items are made to go outdoors. However, since these are outdoors, you may find that you have to clean up these artificial wreaths and garlands before you store these.

Tips for Maintaining Your Artificial Wreaths and Garlands

When outdoors, artificial wreaths and garlands may not only see weather elements like snow, ice and rain, but you have to contend with birds. Many people find that birds try to pick these, or they decide to use the bathroom on them. And for those in warmer climates, they may find that dust and dirt become an issue with these wreaths and garlands. With this being said, you are going to find that cleaning these is a must. And please remember that you want to do this before you store them so that you are not unpacking dirty items to use!

How can you clean these up? For the most part, you will find that drying off rain, ice or snow can be done with a soft microfiber cloth. However, what if you have some bad dirt, mud and other items to deal with? You will find that using a wet microfiber cloth can remove these items. If you find that water is not enough, then you will find that using some disinfectant or even a window cleaner that is put onto these rags is going to be enough. You will want to avoid spraying this directly onto the items as this can damage these. However you clean these, you want to do this gently to avoid knocking off the needles on these wreaths and garlands. Once you have done this, be sure that these are dry before you store these to avoid any musty smells that can linger as they are stored throughout the year.
