For parents, they are going to find that kids have tons of questions throughout the year, but during Christmas they often have the dreaded is Santa real question that they ask. For those who want their kids to have a magical Christmas, they may want to extend the story of Santa to make this something that the kids always remember. Who knows, depending on how well of a story that you have concocted, they may tell their own children this one day. While kids always have questions, one of the best ways to start the Santa magic is when you are decorating your prelit Christmas trees for the year. Chances are the kids are already there helping, so it makes sense as you put on the ornaments onto the prelit Christmas trees, that you discuss a few magical Santa tidbits.
With this being said, it is time now to start learning what to say as the time to decorate prelit Christmas trees is almost upon us! Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. How does Santa get all around the world?
You can answer this in a few ways. You can explain time zones, and how he drops of all locations only when it is nighttime for those people. Or you could explain that his sleigh runs faster than the speed of sound, so he is super fast. For many kids, the idea of Santa driving a super-speed sleigh is that much more fun.
2. How does Santa get in the house if you don’t have a chimney?
Simple! Mom or Dad help him in. It makes you look even cooler because you actually “know” Santa! Or you can answer with the answer being magical as if no one really knows.
3. Does Santa always get on the roof?
Not always! Remember, Santa is magic so maybe he can land in the front yards of homes and use an invisible cloak to ensure that no one sees him!
4. Do the Elves come with Santa?
Nope…the elves stay at the North Pole because they are like Mission Control Center to ensure that every present gets dropped off and there are no issues.
Remember, kids are going to ask some random questions about Santa, so be ready with some quick comebacks. Your kids will probably always remember the Christmas that you decorated these trees and talked about the magic of Santa…even when they realize later that this is just a fun thing parents do for their kids.
